About Brooke
I'm an artist based in the New England region of NSW, painting in watercolour and oils.
Growing up, I was always known to be drawing and painting, but it was only around 2021 that it started to become a career for me.
I painted a watercolour portrait as a wedding gift for a family member, and it kind of snowballed from there when other family members and friends saw it. I started to realise that it was a meaningful art form that people really valued because it’s so personal. The commissions grew to a point where I was able to quit my job to paint full time.
I still take watercolour portrait commissions regularly, but after painting 300 of them I was itching to start making my own art. I discovered that the vibrancy of oil paint was perfect for expressing such a range of emotions and moods through colour and technique. Currently, the landscape is my biggest source of visual inspiration.
